If they meet the requirements, the sponsor has the right to apply for a Family Residence Permit for their foreign child or their dependent child, even if they have reached the age of 18. If they do not meet the requirements for a Family Residence Permit, they can apply for a different residence permit that is suitable for their purposes. The evaluation is carried out by the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
If the stay is with a third person (other than a relative), a notarized commitment letter from the host is required. If the person with whom the stay will be made is married, a notarized commitment letter from their spouse is also required.
Foreigners can apply for a residence permit suitable for their new purpose of stay if the basis for the residence permit granted has ended or if a different basis has emerged. This application should be made as a transition application.

For a long-term residence permit, it is required to have sufficient and regular income. The determination of sufficient and regular income can be based on your monthly income at the minimum wage level, as well as having a property that generates income or having sufficient funds in your bank account that are deemed enough to provide for your livelihood in our country.
Residence permit applications are finalized within a maximum of ninety days from the date of processing the application. The ninety-day period starts from the date when all required information and documents are submitted to the relevant authority. In case of any extension to this period, the foreigner is informed accordingly.
It is essential for the foreigner to personally make the residence permit application. However, such applications may also be made through the foreigner's legal representative or an attorney holding a power of attorney.
The assessment that will involve the foreigner can be made at the place where the foreigner is processed, where they were caught or identified by law enforcement units, within the Provincial or District Directorate of Migration Management, at the removal centers, or at another location deemed appropriate by the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
Depending on the administrative and physical capacity and other factors at these locations, with the request of the governorship and permission of the General Directorate, if necessary, these foreigners may be referred by law enforcement officers to the Provincial or District Directorate of Migration Management or a removal center in the nearest city where they were caught for the assessment regarding the deportation decision.
You can apply for a residence permit for your intended purpose within the last 60 days before your work permit expires.
Associate degree, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students studying in Turkey can work with a work permit. However, the right to work for associate degree and undergraduate students begins after the first year and is regulated by the relevant law. Applications are made to the Ministry of Labor, Social Services and Family.
Foreigners under international protection are resettled in a third country under the coordination of the General Directorate. Public institutions and organizations, international organizations, and civil society organizations may also be involved in the resettlement process to a third country. The exit permit to the third country is granted by the General Directorate or, if authorized, by the governorships.
Applicants or individuals with international protection status can work in Turkey within the framework of the fourth paragraph of Article 89 of the Law.
