Work Permit

The application for a work permit in Turkey is made through the online system only through the applicant’s employer or lawyer. Foreigners who want to apply from abroad must first apply for a work visa at the Turkish Consulate in the country where they live.
To apply for a work permit from within the country, the foreigner must have a residence permit for at least six months in Turkey.
The application for an extension of the work permit is made through the online system through the employer or lawyer of the foreigner, at the latest sixty days before the expiry of the residence permit and before the expiry of the permit period at the latest.
However, if the foreigner makes a change of workplace, the application is considered as the first application, not an extension application, and is given for a maximum of one year.
